Amrita Das

Mithila Art

Colourful, vibrant, yet extremely delicate, Mithila art is primarily done by women living in small rural communities in the State of Bihar. Also known as Madhubani painting, this art form originated from the decorative patterns traced by women on the walls and floors of their homes and community spaces.
