Chortle

Hassan Zahreddine

The satisfaction of a good prank.

These merry illustrations were linocut by Lebanese printmaker Hassan Zahreddine and relief-printed on handmade paper, using a vintage 1965 Heidelberg letterpress. The technique makes for a unique viewing experience: the lines are deeply etched on the page, the colours are solidly on the surface, and the texture of the paper invites exploration. This print is also available as part of the Jolly Little Girls pack of letterpress prints.
